As February draws to a close, those committed to New Year’s resolutions—whether it’s boosting daily step counts or following a structured fitness regime—might find the perfect ally in a smartwatch. Amazon, known for its vast tech offerings, has a noteworthy deal on a leading fitness tracker that works seamlessly with both Apple and Android devices.

The Google Fitbit Versa 4 Fitness Smartwatch is now on sale at Amazon, reduced from £150.36 to £128.99. Shoppers can choose from four stylish colors: black, grey-blue, deep beet pink, and rose pink.

Tom Capon, who oversees Affiliates for ReachPLC in the South and Wales, recently shared his impressive story of shedding 24 pounds in just three months, crediting the smartwatch for helping him along the way. In an interview with Wales Online, he said, “This smartwatch helped me lose 24 pounds in three months, and now it’s available at a discount on Amazon.”

He added, “Everything I needed was right on my wrist with the Fitbit Versa 4. This smartwatch tracks your steps, monitors your heart rate, and even allows you to log food through its app.”

This device is particularly useful for fitness enthusiasts keen on tracking progress. It automatically recognizes workouts, offering over 40 different exercise modes. It also assesses workout intensity, calculates active minutes, and features built-in GPS, making it a great option for runners.

Designed for continuous wear, the smartwatch monitors sleep patterns and heart rate around the clock. Additionally, it aids in stress management and tracks menstrual health, offering comprehensive support for everyday well-being.

It’s compatible with iOS 15 or higher & Android OS 9.0 or higher, and can also receive texts, notifications, and calls from your phone via Bluetooth. It also has customisable clock faces and always-on display mode.

In terms of size, the watch claims to be lightweight and water-resistant to 50 meters, promising up to six days of battery life and a fast charge.

Tom explained how helpful the watch was in his weight loss journey, saying: “Without the ability to track my metrics, I would not have been able to achieve this weight loss – 11kg/24lbs – and along with feeling infinitely more confident, I also have more energy than I sometimes know what to do with.”

He was particularly impressed by the device’s heart rate monitoring feature, explaining: “It shows when you wake up, when your heart rate is peaking, and any abnormal spikes, as well as your resting beats per minute.

“This is crucial for monitoring your heart health. You can also compare it with other people your age – keeping in mind these are averages and may vary depending on different factors, even caffeine intake.”

Another impressive element of the design, according to Tom, is how motivational it can be. “The watch will notify you every 10,000 steps, which is really rewarding. I personally love this as I live for tiny hits of dopamine to be motivated to even breathe, so getting a little celebration after a walk is great.”

It appears Tom isn’t alone in his enthusiasm, as Amazon shoppers have been praising it online, giving it 4.3 out of five stars based on more than 10,000 reviews.

One five-star review said: “I like how slick it is – comfy to wear. It’s easy to understand and gives masses of information. Just a great tool to motivate me.”

Another said: “Great sleep tracker and checks heart rate. Keeps track of steps and sends reminders. Good size. Very good value for money. Brightness is good.”

Another satisfied shopper said: “It was very easy to set up and is lightweight. The battery life is good, and I only have to charge it every 6 days. I do love the motivation buzzer as it stimulates me to get walking and try and complete my 10,000 steps a day. Sometimes, unachievable, though, depending on what I am busy doing. I wear it all day and night, as I like to see how many hours of sleep I get each night. So far so good. I highly recommend this Versa 4 watch.

Several shoppers were not fans of the silicone strap. One said: ” The Fitbit Versa 4 itself felt nice quality and lightweight, but the strap for it is horrible, it felt so cheaply made, I replaced it with a nylon band, which improved the feel, but again, for a premium product, you shouldn’t have to pay for new bands.”

Nevertheless, another satisfied buyer added: “Best fit watch I’ve had. Gives you more than you need. It is light and comfortable, definitely recommend.”
