This led fans to believe that ‘Hotel Blue Moon’ will be the Season 2 of ‘Hotel del Luna’ starring Kim Soo Hyun.

However, tvN and the Hong Sisters both confirmed that they’re not planning any Season 2. Also, South Korean dramas usually don’t have sequels. So it’s pretty unlikely for Season 2 to happen.

Cast Details

Lee Ji-Eun (better known by her popular stage name as Kpop star IU) and Yeo Jin-goo respectively play the main protagonists: the hotel’s hot-tempered Jang Man Wol and elite hotelier Goo Chan Sun.

The supporting cast includes:

Kang Mi-na as Jung Soo-Jung’s spirit residing inside Kim Yoo-Na’s body

Pyo Ji-hoon as hotel receptionist Ji Hyun-Joong

Jung Dong-hwan as hotel’s general manager/Chan-sung’s predecessor No Joon-suk

What About Storyline?

The storyline wraps up with a rather bittersweet ending which was very sad for a lot of fans rooting for the protagonists to end up together.

However, the Hong Sisters who wrote the script, thinks the ending isn’t sad but the perfect one. Crossing the bridge and properly sending off Man Wol with a final farewell was the perfect ending for both her and Chan Sung.
