How to get your Daily Telegraph grand final clapper

When the Penrith Panthers take on the Melbourne Storm in the NRL grand final on Sunday night, the fans cheering them on won’t see them as stars, but family.

Panthers fan Leo Alexander is one of thousands of diehard young fans who look up to the team, but for the nine-year-old, the connection goes deeper.

The St Nicholas of Myra school student is the nephew of former Penrith player and NRL great Greg Alexander, who himself was once a pupil at the school.

“I go for the Panthers because most of my uncles and cousins play or used to play for the Panthers and I love supporting them because they are my family,” he told The Daily Telegraph.

“I’m excited they are going to be in the finals, and I have my Panthers jersey ready to go.”

Excited fans can pick up a free Penrith Panthers clapper with The Daily Telegraph today.

Just find the token on page 4 and take it to participating newsagents to redeem your clapper.
