Jennifer Lopez and Armie Hammer new movie seems like it’ll be a surefire hit.
The triple-threat, 50, and Call Me By Your Name star, 34, have both been cast in Lionsgate’s action-comedy Shotgun Wedding, according to Deadline.
In the film Lopez and Hammer will play the couple Darcy and Tom, an engaged pair who get more than they bargained for during their destination wedding.

After gathering their families together, the pair begin to get cold feet.
But all of that drama gets interrupted when the wedding party is taken hostage.
The official press release jokes: ‘”Til Death Do Us Part” takes on a whole new meaning in this hilarious, adrenaline-fueled adventure as Darcy and Tom must save their loved ones — if they don’t kill each other first.’
Calling Jennifer and Armie a recipe for comic success, Erin Westerman, President of Production for Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group, said: ‘Jennifer and Armie’s irresistible magnetism, separately and together, make them the perfect pairing for this action comedy.’

Shotgun Wedding will be directed by Pitch Perfect’s Jason Moore. The screenplay is being written by Mark Hammer and Liz Meriwether.
Todd Lieberman and David Hoberman of Mandeville Films will produce. They will be joined by Nuyorican Productions’ Lopez, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas and Benny Medina.
Alex Young will be overseeing the production and executive producing for Mandeville. Courtney Baxter will do the same for Nuyorican Productions.

Armie recently released the Netflix steamy thriller Rebecca where he stars with Lily James. He is set to appear in a Kenneth Brannagh version of Death On The Nile with Elisabeth Debicki and Brannagh himself.
