Scott Disick piled on the pounds after struggling to cope with ex Kourtney Kardashian’s new romance with Travis Barker – and then he turned to Ozempic as he started comparing himself to the musician, insiders claim.

The reality TV star, 40 – who shares three children with his former partner of 10 years – has reportedly found it difficult to watch the Poosh founder move on with the Blink-182 drummer, and famously blasted their PDA in a leaked DM in 2022.

Now, insiders have claimed the troubled star is in a ‘dire situation’ with talk of an intervention after his Ozempic use has left him looking shockingly gaunt.

‘Kourtney’s marriage to Travis took a toll on Scott and as he got bigger he was comparing himself to Travis – and Travis being thin didn’t help,’ a source told DailyMail.com exclusively.

‘Scott turned to food as his crutch because he could not turn to drugs.’

The insider added that the star shunned alcohol and drugs as a means of coping, stressing that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star does not want to jeopardize his relationship with his children.

‘He loves his kids too much to try to ruin his relationship with them,’ the source said. ‘Kourtney is of course concerned because he is the father of her children.

‘After the photos emerged, people close to Scott realized how dire the situation is – but they’re struggling with an intervention as so many around him take the drug too. It would be like the pot calling the kettle black.’

The insider claimed it is ‘highly likely’ that Scott’s weight loss crisis will feature on an upcoming season of The Kardashians.

‘Scott knows that,’ they said. ‘He signed a contract so there isn’t much he can do about them using his troubling appearance for TV.’

Scott dated Kourtney from 2006 to 2015, with the reality TV star citing his sobriety battles as the reason for their split. They have children Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, nine.

Kourtney moved on with drummer Travis, with the pair tying the knot in May 2022. The couple, who are no strangers to very public displays of affection, welcomed their first child together, son Rocky, last year.

Earlier this week, DailyMail.com reported that Kourtney is reportedly concerned for Scott, who insiders claim has gone ‘too far’ with Ozempic in a desperate bid to get rid of his ‘dad bod.’

Earlier this week DailyMail.com revealed Scott has been using Ozempic

Scott was pictured looking noticeably thinner following a meal with his pals at Catch Steak restaurant in West Hollywood on Saturday night, and fans initially feared his appearance was a result of an undisclosed illness or drug use.

Scott, who lost his parents in 2013 and 2014, has openly struggled with substance abuse and alcoholism.

But an insider said: ‘He is not ill and isn’t doing hardcore drugs. Kourtney would never allow Scott to spend so much time with their kids if he was in the throes of an addiction.

‘Scott started taking Ozempic because he had serious issues with his weight gain. This time last year he saw himself as fat.

‘He had gained a lot of weight and couldn’t stand seeing himself in video footage that aired in the past couple of months. He would go to great lengths to cover it up.

‘Scott wanted the easy way out of his dad bod. But now it has clearly gone too far and, of course, the family is worried about him.’

The source added: ‘They will likely use this for show ratings in The Kardashians. Scott is strong and will be able to get through this – especially now that he knows that it has become a huge problem with his image and fame.’

Scott’s wellbeing became a topic of conversation last year following an episode of the popular Hulu reality show in which Khloe voiced her concerns for his health after he suffered a back injury.

The star’s struggles began in August 2022 after a car crash which left his Lamborghini flipped upside down.

The source stated: 'As he got bigger it didn’t help that he was comparing himself to Travis – and Travis being thin didn’t help'

The star, like many in Hollywood, wanted to use the wonder drug as a quick way to get rid of the extra pounds he had gained after Kourtney moved on and he sustained a back injury

During the episode, Scott admitted he had not been doing the physical therapy needed to recover and later told his doctor: ‘I haven’t been able to run around. I’ve gained weight.’

Khloe Kardashian said: ‘I think Scott needs a little pep talk because this is probably the unhealthiest I’ve seen him. He’s barely mobile, and it’s all from his back, so that wouldn’t make anyone feel good.’

Scott then admitted that he had ‘gained a lot of weight… because of my back.’

He had a near fatal overdose in 2014 after he took almost an entire bottle of sleeping pills following a wild night out drinking and partying.

He was eventually convinced to enter rehab for a month-long stay by Kourtney.

He was also hospitalized for alcohol poisoning in June 2020.

In 2017 he told DailyMail.com that he used legal cannabis oil SwissX to ‘relax.’

He made changes to his diet in 2020 after discovering that he had low testosterone levels.

Scott was pictured in a sprinter alongside the Universal Music Group employee — who wore black strappy heels and was sat directly next to Scott after their night of partying.

The reality TV star — who was recently spotted leaving his ex Chloe Bartoli’s residence with a suitcase in tow —  was out with friends on Saturday night when images of his shock new appearance started to circulate.

He was later seen leaving the Offsunset nightclub with bombshell Sarah Bauer, 28, as identified by Page Six.

The pair were also seen out with his friend, model Jordan Barrett, 27, who has also undergone an extreme weight loss transformation.
