(NEXSTAR) – As the $725 million Facebook privacy settlement continues to unfold, many eligible individuals have begun receiving their payments. Do you find yourself missing out?

The eagerly anticipated disbursements kicked off on September 3, with payments expected to be issued in batches over a span of 10 weeks, concluding around November 12.

Angeion, the company tasked with managing these payouts, faces a significant challenge, having received a staggering 28 million claims. This large volume is due to the broad eligibility criteria, which included nearly all U.S. residents with a Facebook account between 2007 and 2022.

To secure your share, you needed to have filed a claim if you used Facebook during that window. The filing deadline passed in August 2023, so you’ll need to recall if you took action by then.
