In Tampa, Florida, WFLA reports that more strong to potentially severe storms could occur this afternoon and evening as they develop and move westward during the day.
Temperatures warm up first with highs in the mid-90s again.
Rain chances will increase after lunchtime with spotty showers developing into storms. They’ll drift west toward the coast through the evening.
Any storms that develop today will contain heavy rain, frequent lightning and have the possibility to be severe with strong gust winds and hail.
By Friday, a change in weather patterns is anticipated, bringing showers and storms earlier. These storms are expected to move inland towards the east coast, resulting in drier conditions for the west coast. A few of these storms might also reach severe levels.
Scattered storms will develop again over the weekend and the highest chances will be east of I-75 each afternoon.
Temperatures will stay hot but near average wit highs in the low 90s.
