AirTag Used to Track Stolen Car with 1-Year-Old Child Inside

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A car with a 1-year-old inside was taken from Portland to Morrow County on Friday, according to Gilliam County officials.

The vehicle was first spotted traveling east on I-84 around 1:15 p.m., and deputies with several counties including Gilliam County searched for the car.

Using an Apple Air Tag, the car was discovered within the hour at the Love’s Travel Center Truck Stop in Morrow County.

Officials said the child was found uninjured.

Gilliam County officials did not share further details about the incident or the child.
