SAVANNAH, Ga. () — The Habersham School launched St. Joseph’s/Candler’s Paint the Town Pink initiative on Tuesday with its Annual Pink Night, uniting volleyball teams to promote breast cancer awareness.

All funds raised from entrance fees, concessions, and t-shirt sales are donated to the Telfair Mammography Fund, which supports no-cost breast health services for those without sufficient insurance coverage.

“Cancer has impacted us all,” said Head of Habersham Pat McCarty . “One of our moms was set to speak tonight as she battles breast cancer. Unfortunately, she had to be in Jacksonville for treatment, underscoring the need to support individuals in detecting and fighting cancer.”

The campaign will feature various events throughout October, including my ’s Tina Tyus-Shaw’s Healing Heroes Fashion Show on Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion.
