FORT VALLEY, Ga. (WRBL) — Officials from Fort Valley State University revealed on Thursday that arrests have been made in relation to the ongoing criminal investigation into hazing allegations involving the FVSU Blue Machine Marching Band.

According to FVSU, the City of Fort Valley PD has found sufficient evidence to support charges of hazing.

Those charges stem from an incident that reportedly happened on Sept. 24, involving the Blue Machine Marching Band.

While the case was progressing, FVSU officials released a statement on X that reads:

“As the investigation continues, the band will stay suspended and will not participate in performances this weekend. We recognize the gravity of this situation and its effects on our community, especially during the Homecoming period.”

The band’s activities have been suspended indefinitely, which means they will not perform at FVSU’s homecoming game Saturday.

The university says they have opened an independent investigation to look into the hazing case.
