ATLANTA (WRBL) — The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation has announced it will contribute $500,000 to aid in the relief and recovery efforts for the Texas Hill Country community, in response to the devastating flooding that has resulted in hundreds being dead or missing.

The Atlanta Falcons shared the news on their Facebook page of the owners plan to donate to the community affected in the floods.

The Blank foundation issued a statement and spoke on the tragedy by saying:

“We hold the people of Texas, particularly those in the Texas Hill Country, close in our thoughts as the catastrophic floods have brought great hardship and heartbreak to many. We mourn their losses and stand with those affected, extending our deepest sympathies and steadfast support.

Our $500,000 contribution will directly benefit the impacted communities and provide much-needed relief and long-term recovery.”

In the tragic flooding in Texas, there has been an estimate of 120 people killed and 170 still missing in the disaster that began on July 4.

President Donald Trump arrived in Texas on Friday to address the tragedy and get a first-hand look at the devastation from the flooding.
