Augusta University observes Constitution Day Sept. 17 with public reading

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – Augusta University recognized Constitution Day on Wednesday with its annual celebration on campus.

The Libraries at AU, along with the Departments of Communication and Social Sciences, collaborated to organize an event marking the 238th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution on September 17.

Volunteers gathered to read the U.S. Constitution, and informational tables provided information about voter registration.

This public event took place in the Dr. Roscoe Williams Ballroom, located in the Jaguar Student Activities Center on the Summerville Campus.

All educational institutions that receive federal funding are required to have an educational program about the U.S. Constitution annually.
