Pokémon card frenzy in Bay Area leads to person stabbed: Police


(KRON) — A person was stabbed outside a GameStop in Colma Saturday after two suspects allegedly tried to cut in line to buy Pokémon cards, according to the Colma Police Department.

The fight broke out around 9:40 a.m. as customers lined up in front of the business at 4929 Junipero Serra Blvd. During the fight, one of the suspects stabbed a man with a shard of glass, Colma Police Department Sgt. Daniel Mendoza told Affiliate KRON.

“While two were fighting, one of the other individuals in the group of two hit them in the back of the head with a glass mason jar and used broken glass to begin to stab them,” Mendoza said.

affiliate KRON obtained exclusive video of the attack, seen in the video player above. Two people were arrested following the alleged stabbing. Police have not named the suspects at this time.

Colma PD is working on releasing more details about the alleged stabbing.
