Blake Tillery announces campaign running for GA Lt. Gov., visits Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Georgia State Senator Blake Tillery launched his campaign on Monday to become the next lieutenant governor of Georgia, joining several other candidates vying for the position within the state.

Tillery visited Daniel Field Airport on August 11 as part of his state-wide flyover tour to express why he believes he is the best candidate for the role. He stated that, if elected, he would implement positive changes.

“One of the primary goals I have is to eliminate Georgia state income tax,” Tillery said. “I believe that Georgia families are feeling the squeeze at the gas pump. They’re experiencing the crunch at the grocery store. Working families are certainly feeling the strain on child care. Eliminating Georgia state income tax could provide them with an immediate five percent raise.”
