The Bluff City Police Department in Tennessee is seeking assistance from the public to identify two people connected to an attempted burglary that occurred on Thursday.
As of 2:51 p.m. on Friday, according to an update from the Bluff City Police, the suspects have been recognized and taken into custody, and the involved vehicle has been located.
The police department mentioned that the investigation was a team effort involving Bluff City Detectives, Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Kingsport Police Department, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, DEA, FBI, HSI, and the Lee County VA Sheriff’s Office.
According to a news release from the police department, the attempted burglary happened just after 9:30 p.m. at the Knoxville TVA Credit Union in Piney Flats.
The vehicle is reportedly a 2000s dark gray Ford Escape with a swapped registration plate.
