Bluffton resident earns second PGA Tour win

SILVIS, Ill. () — A Bluffton resident picked up his second PGA Tour win of his career on Sunday at the John Deere Classic.

Brian Campbell clinched victory on the first playoff hole after he and Emiliano Grillo both finished 18 strokes under par over 72 holes. Campbell secured the win by making par on the playoff hole.

Showcasing a strong performance over the weekend, Campbell excelled in the final round, recording six birdies alongside 11 pars. His journey to the title included rounds of 65, 66, 68, and 67.

The Bluffton resident only bogeyed twice in four rounds.

Campbell graduated from the University of Illinois, and said many of his college friends were able to come out and support throughout the weekend.

Entering this season without a PGA victory, Campbell secured his first win in February at the Mexico Open, also on the first playoff hole. The triumph at the John Deere Classic represents his second win of the year and his career.
