    NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – A residential fire erupted Thursday morning in New Smyrna Beach, capturing the attention of local emergency services.

    Firefighters battle house fire in New Smyrna Beach (New Smyrna Beach Fire Department)

    Responding promptly, firefighters arrived at the scene on Rio Del Mar Drive to discover flames piercing the roof of the residence.

    According to officials from the New Smyrna Beach Fire Department, the blaze was successfully restricted to the home’s northern section.

    Thankfully, there were no reports of any injuries resulting from the incident.

    Authorities have commenced an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
