GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (WCBD) – A former participant of Bravo’s “Southern Charm” received a conviction and sentence on Friday following an incident of driving under the influence last year in South Carolina.

Kathyrn Dennis, 34, was sentenced to serve 30 days in Berkeley County jail on Friday.

Dennis was involved in a three-vehicle crash on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Upon arrival at the crash site, bystanders informed officers that Dennis appeared impaired, and they detected an alcohol odor on her, as noted in the incident report. The responding officers observed that Dennis had glossy eyes as she approached.

Upon inspecting Dennis’ vehicle, officers found an unopened mini-Fireball bottle on the driver’s side floorboard and an empty pink tumbler, according to the report.

The officer on the scene spoke with Dennis, noting an alcohol scent emanating from her. When asked if she had been drinking or taking medication, Dennis denied it.

At the detention center, the officer reported that Dennis admitted to consuming alcohol ‘way earlier,’ contrary to her initial denial.

Dennis appeared on the reality show from 2014 to 2022. It follows the lives of Charleston socialites as they navigate life, dating, drama, and more.
