TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Breeze Airways announced its first international flight from Tampa International Airport on Thursday.

The airline will begin a seasonal route to Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, Jamaica, on Feb. 11.

The route is scheduled to operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

“We are excited to support Breeze Airways in their growth since their first flight in 2021 at TPA and to be one of the first airports to offer their international services,” stated Tampa International Airport CEO Michael Stephens. “With Breeze, travelers from the Tampa Bay area will soon enjoy easy and quick access to the lively culture and stunning beaches of Montego Bay, Jamaica, a premier destination for holidays worldwide. We are eager to continue assisting Breeze as they broaden their services, providing TPA’s passengers with desired flights at affordable prices.”

The Montego Bay route will be the 30th destination Breeze offers from Tampa International Airport.

Breeze said it is offering a special introductory fare for the new flight, with tickets starting at $99 for a one-way trip.
