Buchanan County’s Board of Supervisors has taken a decisive step in supporting higher education by approving a substantial financial agreement to aid the Appalachian School of Law. This plan, which passed with a 5-2 majority during Thursday night’s meeting, allocates $3.4 million to the Buchanan County Industrial Development Authority (IDA). These funds are earmarked for grants that aim to fortify the law school’s financial standing and ensure its continued contribution to the local community and beyond.
