SAVANNAH, Ga. ()—Georgia Representative Buddy Carter released a statement Thursday morning after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

“This is a once-in-a-generation bill that will realize President Trump’s entire domestic agenda, which Georgians voted for overwhelmingly last November. With the One, Big, Beautiful Bill Act, we are enhancing our nation’s energy independence, safeguarding the border, increasing the financial benefits for hardworking Americans, removing illegal immigrants from Medicaid to prioritize those in need, and eradicating the waste, fraud, and misuse that threaten our country’s economic stability. I am immensely proud of my House Republican colleagues for passing this remarkable bill, but the battle is ongoing.”

Rep. Carter further stated, “Georgia’s Senators are faced with a decision: Will they align with the people of Georgia to block the largest tax increase in American history, or will they capitulate to Chuck Schumer by joining the liberal elites?”
