Authorities in Burbank, California, have taken 38-year-old Calese Carron Crowder into custody once more following a report of a repeated “butt-sniffing” occurrence inside a Burbank store, as confirmed by officials to Nexstar’s KTLA on Friday.

Details regarding the incident remain scarce. The police have yet to disclose the establishment’s name or provide a booking record for the new incident, stating only that it took place on Wednesday evening.

This recent arrest occurs only weeks after Crowder’s previous detention for the same behavior of sniffing women’s buttocks in public — a transgression he has continually committed over the years.

Back in July, police reported that surveillance footage at the Empire Center captured him trailing a female shopper in the women’s department, squatting behind her to “inappropriately sniff her buttocks.” In this instance, prosecutors charged him with loitering with the intent to offend, and his bail was set at $100,000, as per the Burbank Police Department’s records.

Officers mentioned in July that Crowder is a registered sex offender and was, at that time, “on active parole,” with a known history of similar offenses in both Glendale and Burbank since 2021. Nexstar’s KTLA has inquired from corrections officials about his parole status after his Wednesday arrest.

Anyone who believes they were targeted in a similar way is urged to contact the Burbank PD Investigations Division at (818) 238-3210.

KTLA has reached out for more information from Burbank police, seeking details like the exact timing, store location, and booking data, but no response has been received yet.
