SAVANNAH, Ga. () — The GHSA Division Private Baseball Championship game will feature two teams from Savannah.

Both Calvary Day and Savannah Christian swept semifinal matchups to meet up with each other in the final series.

This marks Calvary Day’s consecutive appearance in the GHSA Baseball State Championship. The Cavs reached the finals last year but were defeated by Harlem with a score of 2-0.

Calvary Day comes in a perfect 8-0 in the GHSA State Playoffs.

On the other side, Savannah Christian is looking for its first state title since 2017.

As a seven-seed, the Raiders have amazed numerous baseball enthusiasts by advancing to the state championship game. They also showed resilience by quickly bouncing back after a first-round playoff loss the previous season.

The Savannah showdown will begin on May 19 at 5 p.m. at J.I. Clements Stadium in Statesboro.
