OCALA, Fla. – In an unexpected turn of events, an Ocala resident has filed a lawsuit against Outback Steakhouse, following a rather peculiar incident in one of the restaurant’s restrooms. This information comes from court documents reviewed by News 6.
The individual in question, Michael Green, had chosen to dine at the Outback Steakhouse located on Southwest College Road in Ocala, with the visit taking place on March 26. During his time there, Green made a trip to the restroom, a decision that quickly turned problematic.
According to the lawsuit, while Green was using the toilet in the handicap stall, the fixture unexpectedly shattered and collapsed. This sudden mishap left Green with what the court documents describe as “severe bodily injury.”
In response to this incident, Green is now holding the restaurant accountable for negligence, citing their failure to maintain the restroom facilities adequately. His lawsuit is seeking compensation exceeding $50,000 for the damages incurred.
