DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — Individuals with insurance through Health Alliance will be losing their coverage this year. However, a Central Illinois organization has announced they are ready to assist seniors in selecting a new plan that suits them.

CRIS Healthy Aging offers support to individuals over the age of 60, addressing various medical needs, including insurance enrollment. The organization has noted an increase in people seeking their assistance.

Angel White assures people that there is no need to worry immediately as they will remain covered until the end of the year. Changes cannot occur until the open enrollment period in October, but she is available to offer guidance beyond this timeframe.

“We’ll go over all the available plans,” White stated. “The process is individualized. I’ll inquire about things like, ‘What medications do you take? Which doctors do you visit?’ My role is to help find a plan that includes all their providers, so there’s no need to change providers. That’s something nobody wants to do.”

White said you can call in to the CRIS office at 217-443-2999 to schedule a free appointment.
