Champaign Co. Crime Stoppers looking for tips on car burglar

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Champaign County Crime Stoppers is asking for help from the public in finding a suspected car burglar.

During the early hours of May 6, burglaries took place near the University of Illinois campus. Authorities reported that at around 5 a.m., an individual entered multiple vehicles parked near the intersection of Third and Daniel Streets. He took items from two of the cars; however, the total worth of these items remains unconfirmed.

The suspect was caught on surveillance footage, described as a light-skinned Black male. At the time, he was wearing a black jacket over a gray hoodie, along with black pants and black shoes.
