Columbia Co. Firefighter faces rape charges in two cases, probe ongoing

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has taken 24-year-old Zander Ean McDade into custody concerning two distinct rape investigations.

McDade has been charged with two counts of rape, involving two different victims at different times and locations.

According to initial reports, his listed employer is the Columbia County Fire Department.

McDade is currently being held at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center.

These investigations are ongoing, and additional details will not be disclosed at this time to maintain the integrity of the investigations and safeguard the victims’ privacy.
