In Washington County, Tennessee, a local grassroots organization known as “Neighbors of BWXT” convened on Tuesday to strategize their collective opposition against BWX Technologies’ proposal to rezone a specific area for development. This gathering was prompted by a previous Washington County Regional Planning Commission meeting on November 4, which had to be postponed because of an overwhelming number of attendees from the community.
