Monticello man pleads guilty, sentenced in fatal hit and run

A Danville man implicated in a 2023 shooting incident has been sentenced to seven years in prison for illegal firearm possession. The sentence was handed down last week.

Kaydo Moreman, 28, accepted a plea agreement on October 31, acknowledging his guilt for possessing a weapon unlawfully as a felon. In exchange for his guilty plea, three additional charges were dismissed against him.

  • Aggravated battery with a firearm (Class X)
  • Possession of a controlled substance (Class 4)
  • Aggravated unlawful use of a weapon without a valid FOID card (Class 4)
