DECATUR, Ill. (WCIA) — A simple concept to offer free lunches has quickly turned into a distribution of over 200 meals in just a few days at Bobbie Lane’s BBQ in Decatur. This initiative, known as the “pay it forward” wall, allows patrons to purchase a meal, post the ticket on a dedicated wall, and in turn, provide a free meal to someone in need.

Brandon Dulik, the General Manager, explained that this effort was inspired by growing concerns about the depletion of SNAP benefits and increasing food insecurity. By offering this option, they’re addressing a pressing community need.
