KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — On Saturday evening, Kingsport Speedway was the venue for the Tour of Destruction, featuring thrilling demolition derby-style races with cars and buses.

General Manager of the Kingsport Speedway, Vern Deel, said the Tour of Destruction is a vital event for the speedway.

“For us, it helps carry us through the season,” he explained. “During the off-season, it supports our expenses, and in season, it’s a significant event for us.”

Friday racing nights return to the speedway on June 13.

“We warmly invite everyone to join us for a regular Friday night event. We have an exciting show, and we’d love to see more fans fill the stands.”

The Tour of Destruction returns to Kingsport Speedway on Oct. 11. A full 2025 schedule for the Kingsport Speedway can be found at kingsportspeedway.net.
