HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. () – The Gullah Museum of Hilton Head is hosting a festival to celebrate the culture’s rich heritage and people.
The Gullah Heritage Festival commemorates and pays tribute to the deep cultural legacy of the Gullah community, descendants of enslaved Africans transported to the coastal areas of South Carolina, Georgia, and nearby regions.
Scheduled for Saturday, July 5, 2024, the festival will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Ticket prices are set at $15.00 for those aged 13 and over, $5.00 for children aged 6-12, and free admission for children aged 5 and under.
It will feature a variety of events, including traditional Gullah music, dance, storytelling, crafts, and food.
