A Carter County resident with connections to a North Carolina home invasion investigation has been apprehended in Elizabethton, Tennessee, and is now facing a series of drug and weapons charges. Austin W. Salyer, 30, who resides on Nix Road in Johnson City, was formally charged on Monday. His arrest follows a search that uncovered various illegal items.
