A woman from Erwin was taken into custody on Sunday for allegedly stealing firearms, as reported by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).
WCSO deputies were dispatched to investigate a burglary in the 200 block of Little Germany Road shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. The property owner reported that a female suspect had barricaded herself inside his home.
After the homeowner went next door to contact 911, the suspect reportedly exited the premises with stolen items, including two handguns from inside the home, as well as an additional handgun and a cooler from the victim’s vehicle, according to the WCSO statement.
Deputies located Zarra Lee Reagan, 41, in the front yard in the 300 block of Little Germany Road. Reagan was found with the three pistols placed inside the cooler, the release said.
Reagan was charged with three counts of Unlawful Carrying or Possession of a Weapon, one count of Aggravated Burglary and three counts of Theft.
She was transported to the Washington County Detention Center and is being held on a $7,500 bond. Reagan will appear in court on July 7.
