A brand new exhibition has opened at the Glazer Children’s Museum in Tampa, Florida, offering a fresh view and a chance to perceive things differently. This engaging display, called the “Let’s See!” exhibit, transforms the science of sight into an interactive experience brimming with colors, lights, and optical illusions, while also highlighting the significance of taking care of one’s vision.

Orchestrated by the Glazer Vision Foundation, this exhibition leads children through the fascinating journey of understanding how their eyes function and the essential role healthy vision plays in learning and overall well-being.

The interactive experiences the exhibit has to offer include:

  • A giant kaleidoscope that gives you the chance to play with color, light, and reflection
  • Spinning color wheels that allow you to explore how light, color, and movement interact
  • Color vision tests and number-spotting challenges
  • Different glasses to try on so you can see the world through a new lens
  • A water sphere that exemplifies how our eyes and brain work together
  • A mystery box that you can reach into so you can guess objects by touch

“Play is the way children comprehend their surroundings, and ‘Let’s See!’ makes the topic of vision an entertaining and interactive journey,” shared Sarah Cole, president and CEO of the Glazer Children’s Museum. “By engaging in playful exploration, young ones can learn about eye functionality and the importance of clear vision. As a glasses-wearer myself, I appreciate the transformative nature of good sight—but it all begins with play.”

The Glazer Vision Foundation has provided free eye screenings and prescription glasses to more than 20,000 children in the Tampa Bay area.

“Let’s See!” is not only an exhibit but a chance to change the way children see the world.
