FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) – Authorities in Tennessee have unveiled bodycam footage capturing the arrest of ex-NFL quarterback Jay Cutler.
In the incident that took place in October 2024, Cutler, aged 41, was apprehended in Franklin following a minor traffic accident where he reportedly rear-ended another car. According to court records, Cutler allegedly attempted to leave the scene, offering the other driver $2,000 in an effort to dissuade them from contacting the police.
Cutler, who formerly played for the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, and Miami Dolphins, now faces charges including driving under the influence, possession of a handgun while intoxicated, failure to exercise due care, and violating the implied consent law.
The recently disclosed footage from the Franklin Police Department shows officers arriving at the scene of the crash. The victim promptly informs the officers that Cutler tried to escape after the accident but was thwarted by a dead end.
“He ran until he couldn’t go anywhere,” the other driver is heard saying.
