Celebrate fall all month long in St. Pete with these spooky events

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — October has arrived, bringing Halloween with it, and St. Petersburg is fully embracing the spooky season with a variety of exciting events. Offering fun for everyone, here are some fall activities you shouldn’t miss.

Autumn Harvest

The community is invited to join in seasonal celebrations with numerous fall-themed activities. At just $5 per person, and free for children under three, attendees can enjoy a day filled with games, hayrides, crafts, food trucks, and more. Organized by St. Pete’s Parks and Recreation Department, the Autumn Fest is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be hosted at the Pinellas Pioneers Settlement at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, located at 3010 31st Street S. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, a nonprofit that supports the preserve’s mission and conservation efforts.

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue Block Party

Marking 30 years of SPFR, a free family-friendly event awaits. Attendees can experience fire truck tours, bounce houses, and enjoy food and drinks while obtaining important fire safety and injury prevention information. Children can receive free safety gear, including life jackets and bike helmets. The fun concludes with a live side-by-side fire demonstration. This event is set for Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Walter Fuller Park, situated at 7891 26th Avenue N.

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue Haunted Fire House

St. Petersburg’s first responders host the annual Haunted Fire House, a can’t-miss attraction. Admission is free, and $10 fast passes are available. Recommended for ages 11 and up, all proceeds support SPFR’s Holiday Toy Drive. The event will be on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Fire Station #10, located at 2800 30th Avenue N.

Spooky Swamp Haunted Hike

Experience the shadows of Boyd Hill Nature Preserve on a Halloween adventure. This spooky hike invites you to explore trails after dark and enjoy a kid-friendly story filled with mysterious phantoms and light-hearted scares. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite costumes and enjoy an evening under the stars. The Spooky Swamp Haunted Hike is on Friday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., and again at 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10, and registration is available here.

Terror in the Trees Haunted Hike

Step into the night for a spine-tingling hike designed for those 18 and older. Navigate eerie trails where surprises await behind every rustle and shadow, promising a thrilling and memorable evening. The event is on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. It takes place at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. Tickets are $15, and registration can be completed here.

Field of Screams

Step into a world where your dreams become nightmares at TASCO’s 18th Annual Field of Screams. This year’s theme, Dreams & Nightmares, takes visitors on a journey through dreamscapes that quickly dissolve into terrifying realities. Confront your wildest dreams and your worst nightmares as you explore the depths of your imagination. This event will take place Thursday, Oct. 30, through Saturday, Nov. 1, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. It will be held at Pinellas Pioneer Settlement at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, located at 3010 31st Street S.
