Federal authorities are intensifying efforts to identify a masked individual responsible for vandalizing an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building in Tucson, Arizona. In a bid to apprehend the suspect, the FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000.
The Phoenix division of the FBI reports that this individual incited violence and inflicted “significant damage” on an ICE facility dedicated to “enforcement and removal operations.” This incident occurred on June 11 at the facility located near South Country Club and East Valencia Roads. The announcement made last Friday also notes that two other individuals have already been arrested in connection with this event, although further details have not been disclosed.
According to Tucson police, what began as a peaceful demonstration on June 11 spiraled into chaos, resulting in clashes with security personnel and property damage exceeding $31,000.
