Downtown Cincinnati violent brawl videos go viral

Fifth Suspect in Cincinnati Fight Taken into Custody

() A fifth suspect has been arrested in the violent attack in downtown Cincinnati that went viral on social media.

Patrick Rosemond, 38, was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Fulton County, Georgia, on Monday.

He is accused of felonious assault and aggravated riot and will be brought back to Cincinnati to face charges in connection with the July 26 brawl.

A woman was knocked out in the violent attack and videos of the large fight showed a group beat and stomp a second person, a man, for nearly a minute.

“It’s been very, very hard,” the female victim said this weekend after thanking the public for their support. “I’m still recovering. I still have a very bad brain trauma.”

Six people are expected to face charges, including four suspects who appeared in court last week.

The suspects arrested so far include Rosemond,; Jermaine Matthews, 39; Montianez Merriweather, 34; Dekyra Vernon, 24; and Dominique Kittle, 37.

Police have faced criticism over the beating with calls for more to be done to curb violence downtown. City Council member Victoria Parks sparked further outrage with a social media post in which she wrote, “They begged for that beat down.”

Vivek Ramaswamy, who is running for governor of Ohio, is hosting a town hall Monday to address crime in the city.
