BLAINE, Tenn. (WATE) — Over the weekend, firefighters battled a wildfire that erupted on Clinch Mountain in Grainger County. As of Sunday afternoon, the Tennessee Division of Forestry reported that the fire had spread across 31 acres and was 60% contained. Despite progress, the blaze remains active. Earlier in the day, at 2:12 p.m., the Blaine Volunteer Fire Department provided updates on their ongoing efforts to control the situation.
