SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. – A new brush fire has emerged in Sumter County, prompting a response from the Florida Forest Service, as announced in a recent social media update from the agency on Tuesday.
At approximately 5:13 p.m., officials reported they were addressing a brush fire of an unspecified size located near 8267 County Road 647 in Bushnell.
The Florida Forest Service confirmed that Sumter County Fire & EMS teams are also actively involved in tackling the blaze.
Authorities have advised the public to avoid the area to allow emergency crews to operate efficiently and safely.
