FISHER, Ill. (WCIA) — Fisher High School freshman and standout baseball player Colt Daugherty has achieved a remarkable feat by finishing in the top five of a national baseball contest. This accomplishment has earned him an all-expenses-paid trip to attend the second game of the World Series.

The contest, known as MLB’s Pitch, Hit and Run, is a summer event where 50,000 young athletes showcase their baseball skills. Last year, Daugherty narrowly missed out on claiming victory, fueling his determination to succeed this time around.
