EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — On Wednesday afternoon, October 22, a pursuit in El Paso’s Lower Valley concluded with the apprehension of five migrants, as reported by U.S. Border Patrol.
The incident began just before noon when a Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper noticed a vehicle near the Yarbrough Drive exit during a routine patrol. Attempting to pull the vehicle over for a traffic violation, the trooper was met with a refusal to stop, igniting a chase.
The pursuit escalated as the vehicle eventually halted, prompting the occupants to flee on foot near the intersection of Yarbrough Drive and Mazatlan Drive, an area close to Bel Air High School, according to Border Patrol authorities.
