ORLANDO, Fla. – Politicians across Central Florida were quick to react to the news that the U.S. struck three Iranian nuclear sites on Saturday.

As reported by the Associated Press, Donald Trump revealed that the U.S. military targeted three locations in Iran, actively participating in Israel’s mission to dismantle the nation’s nuclear capabilities. This bold move aims to undermine a longstanding adversary, despite Iran’s warnings of retaliation, which could potentially ignite a broader regional crisis.

Republican Congressman Randy Fine expressed support for President Trump’s decision on X, declaring, “Donald Trump has never disappointed us. I stated this after October 7th, 2023, when I backed his return as President. I had confidence that when the world required him, he would step up to save it. Bombs away.”

“Donald Trump has never let us down.”

I wrote this after October 7th, 2023 when I endorsed him to return as President.

I knew that when the world needed him, he would be there to save it.

At the same time, Rep. Maxwell Frost from Orlando, a Democrat, voiced concerns on social media, questioning, “Bombs three nuclear sites and then declares ‘Now is the time for peace’? This action heightens tensions and will result in more casualties. Congress must convene promptly to prevent the President from steering us towards war.”

This is an escalation that will lead to more death. Congress must reconvene immediately to stop the President from pushing us into war. https://t.co/nW2WORtgvT

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott made his own post thanking the President, which can be read below:

Thank you, @POTUS, @SecDef,and our brave American warriors for a successful strike on three Iranian nuclear sites. This is what peace through strength looks like. The United States and the world are a safer place without Iran possessing a nuclear weapon.”

Florida Rep. Anna Eskamani, whose parents immigrated to the U.S. from Iran, said in part, the “United States is on the cusp of war with Iran, and yet the American people have been given no proactive explanation, no evidence, and no clarity about why.”
