WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ga. () – On Thursday night, multiple arrests were made by Washington County Deputies as part of an operation to prevent contraband from entering Washington State Prison.
At approximately 8:15 p.m., deputies stopped a car in Davisboro. Inside, they discovered packages wrapped in cellophane along with a drone, identified as items intended for the prison smuggling effort.
A search of the vehicle found large amounts of marijuana, cell phones, lighters, a handgun, and other items.

46-year-old Shawnathon Faison of Hephzibah, and 57-year-old Calvin Walker of Augusta were arrested and charged with:
- Trading with Inmates
- Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute
- Criminal Trespass
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime
- Items Prohibited for Inmates
Walker was also charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Shortly after, another vehicle was stopped by deputies, who found a large plastic bag containing a ‘green leafy substance.’ Further investigation connected the driver and passenger of this second vehicle to the earlier traffic stop.
27-year-old Jordan Dobson of Ellenwood, was arrested on outstanding warrants out of Gwinnett County.
35-year-old Dayvon Crooks, also of Ellenwood, was arrested and charged with Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.
Both are also charged with Trading with Inmates, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and Items Prohibited for Inmates.
