The onset of summer in Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) is set to reflect the familiar pattern of recent weeks, with temperatures rising to the low to mid-90s and an increase in rain possibilities.

Some early morning storms will be present along the coast, expanding in coverage by midday. These storms will remain scattered until about 4 or 5 pm before gradually moving westward as the evening approaches.

As the weekend unfolds, there will be a slight dip in rain chances. Although a few storms may still occur each day, fewer areas will experience rainfall. Storm activity typically kicks off in the afternoon and then travels towards the coast in the evening.

Temperatures will be hot with highs in the low to mid-90s.

More heat and daily showers and storms are in the forecast next week.
