Frito-Lay plant in Orlando set to close, company announces


ORLANDO, Fla. – PepsiCo Foods U.S. announced on Tuesday that it will be closing its Frito-Lay facility in Orlando.

The company revealed that both manufacturing and warehouse activities at the plant, situated near the intersection of Silver Star Road and John Young Parkway, will cease operations.

Company representatives stated that the decision was prompted by “business needs.” They emphasized a commitment to supporting affected workers by offering transition assistance, career guidance, and continuation of pay and benefits during this period.

In their statement, they acknowledged, “This was a challenging decision, as we are aware of the significance this site and its workforce hold within the Orlando community.”
