In Savannah, Georgia, Actor Scott Patterson, famously known for his role as Luke on “Gilmore Girls,” is set to appear at Epic Cons: Savannah on June 6 and 7, during the event running from June 6 to 8. Patterson, along with numerous other stars from both film and television, will be available to meet and engage with fans.

Patterson shared insights with respect to the lasting effect that “Gilmore Girls” has had on its audience over the years. He mentioned, “There are many people who have only recently discovered the show and can’t seem to get enough. They often watch it while falling asleep, doing household chores, or cooking. It’s incredible. Sometimes, I encounter four generations of fans – from great-grandparents to children. Shows like ‘Gilmore Girls’ are rare these days.”

Patterson enjoys when fans bring up specific episodes, as this underscores how the show’s themes have connected with its viewers. “Understanding that the show’s details have deeply touched people and are cherished in their hearts is truly remarkable. Every encounter I have had with a fan of ‘Gilmore Girls,’ whether at a restaurant, the gym, or wherever, is always heartfelt and genuinely sweet,” he remarked.

Patterson is looking forward to coming back to Savannah for the first time in more than 40 years for more than just the convention. Before he was an actor, he was professional baseball player. “I was drafted by the Atlanta Braves in 1980. I started the season in Durham, North Carolina, in the Carolina League. And then halfway through the season, I was promoted to Savannah, Georgia, the Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves at that time. And it was very exciting promotion, a very exciting time because I became a bona fide prospect. And I did very well in Savannah. It’s a lovely place with lovely people. And I actually didn’t want to leave. I mean, you want to be called up. But of all the minor league cities I’ve ever lived in, Savannah was always my favorite.”
