A man from Hampton, Carter County, Tennessee, who faced accusations of uploading videos deemed as child sexual abuse material online, has been sentenced following a plea agreement.
Roy McClellan Jr. was arrested in October 2024 by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office and charged with aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
Authorities arrested McClellan after an investigation prompted by cyber tips. The sheriff’s office stated that he had shared 12 videos showing young female children involved in sexual acts.
On Monday, McClellan agreed to a plea deal in Carter County Criminal Court, admitting to the charge of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to court records, McClellan was sentenced to eight years in prison.
