In a heartening boost to their emergency response capabilities, the Hawkins County Rescue Squad in Tennessee, along with their K9 units, has received a significant donation from Protection4Paws. This donation came in the form of Buddy Bags, which are essential kits designed to provide critical medical support in emergencies.
The squad members, Andy Stump and Rio Demers, together with their canine partners Odin, Cozmik, and Decker, were the grateful recipients of these lifesaving resources. The Buddy Bags are well-equipped with a variety of emergency medical supplies such as oxygen masks, burn sheets, and protective restraints. These kits are particularly vital as they also include materials to treat hypothermic bleeding, a critical requirement in cases of severe injuries like gunshot or stab wounds.
Expressing their gratitude, the Hawkins County Rescue Squad took to social media on Sunday to acknowledge the donation. The squad’s appreciation highlights the importance of community support in enhancing their readiness and response effectiveness during emergencies.
The Hawkins County Rescue Squad said in a social media post on Sunday that it is appreciative of the donation:
HCRS would like to say a special Thank You to Protection4Paws for these lifesaving Buddy Bags for our K9 Teams and their commitment to providing these much-needed resources and equipment to K9 Teams across the nation!
